"I got an Airbnb next door to this place, and I can’t stop coming here every day. The staff is absolutely amazing and each one became my friend within days. I do speak Spanish fluently though. Eating here is a truly authentic Spanish experience from the people to the delicious cafe con leche and homemade food. The “menu del día” which is different every day comes with a drink, first course, main course and dessert for 10 euros. It’s an unbelievable deal and you’ll have leftovers to take back. The photo I showed is their lentil soup, course 1."

"The tasty tapas are about 2 euros and well worth it. The red wine is 1.60 and the main dishes are amazing and so cheap. I had grilled seabass and my friend had steak which were huge, tasty and cooked perfectly. The proprietor gave us a huge tapas of tasty, tender octopus each, on the house, to eat while our food was cooking. The owner and waiter are funny and chatty. Our waiter has a dry sense of humour, which some people may not get, but I found it endearing. I have travelled through Spain and this is definitely the best truly Spanish restaurant for the price I came across, without a doubt. I ll be back when I return to lovely Estepona. Thank you both."

"A traditional cafe and restaurant, always packed with local spanish customers. Excellent coffee, creme caramel or pudding. The tapas are delicious. The a` la carte menu is simple, but the meals are very good. So is the menu al dia. The prices are very reasonable; it is very good value for your money. The waiters were always friendly. We were in Estapona for 16 days and the Maestranza became our regular cafe and restaurant. We will come again."
